Build trust into the workflow
Make data access, human responsibility and deployment choices explicit before introducing AI.
Start with the task, not a compliance badge
Classify the intended use and actual data flow. A model brand, EU address or human checkbox does not establish compliance on its own.
Four practical questions
Who can access the input? Where is it processed? Who verifies the result? Who responds if it goes wrong?
- Keep a data-flow map and named owners.
- Use least privilege and minimise the information sent.
- Test malicious input, access boundaries and recovery.
